often when vacationing, my family and i like to stop for a night in a nearby city that we've been dying to check out. on a recent roadtrip, we checked out savannah. we love the southern charm and the lively vibe of downtown. the historic architecture is fantastic and strolling under the live oaks is dream-like.
downtown also has a hip art scene and design culture with scad being located there. you can’t miss shopping on west broughton street and stockpiling your wardrobe at the marc jacobs store. paula deen’s landmark, the lady and sons, is famous and for good reason. take my tips and you won’t be waiting around the block like most patrons.
cool off in the afternoon and take a tour. you’ll hear about savannah’s historic and sometimes scandalous past. all in all, savannah is a wonderful southern stop. i’m looking forward to a time i can visit more of this fair city.
