having lived in lexington, i am honestly smitten with the sleepy sophisticated vibe it has. if you don't make time for a weekend there once in a while you are missing out. there are tons of chic boutiques, tony places to dine and places to reconnect with nature. there are also great equestrian events that are fun for the whole family.
my husband is a native lexingtonian, and he helped me discover the traditional and classic haunts that make this city so special. i don't think there could be a town so tailored, preppy or southern. you can find just the right pieces here that elevate an outfit from average to elegant. the most exciting time of year in lexington is when keeneland is in session. the weather is fantastic and it is amazing to spend the afternoon watching the races, mingling with friends and doing it in style!
