mac & cheese

mac and cheese

this is classic comfort food! my kids and husband love this recipe.

1 pound rigatoni

1 cup 2 percent milk

1 cup half and half

2 cups extra sharp cheddar

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon salt

pepper to taste

boil pasta until al dente

drain and do not rinse

in another pan, melt butter

add flour and lightly brown

add milk, half and half and 1 cup cheese

simmer until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy

toss pasta in sauce and place in a lightly greased casserole

top with remaining cheese

cook in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown
