french toast

my husband’s favorite is french toast, and he knows what he likes. i have played around with different ways to make it and this is the winner! this recipe is fantastic! the clementine and vanilla create a great flavor and wonderful aroma. baking this dish is simple and makes it lighter! this is a big crowd pleaser at my house!

9 slices french bread

3 eggs

½ cup milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon clementine zest

juice of one clementine

in a bowl, combine eggs, milk vanilla, clementine juice and zest

whisk ingredients together

soak each slice of bread in mixture and lay slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes turning slices in the middle

serve garnished with powdered sugar, butter, syrup and clementine zest
